That was just rude.Funky Brewster said:Would you be interested in looking into a baptist church?
I hope that you don't take this the wrong way, but I do know that the presbyterian church is pretty big into calvinism. It's not like that is the cardinal sin, but have you looked into other churches?
I don't think so. Why should it be any different here than it is in the dirt world? All religions are out there pointing fingers and saying "Your way is wrong". They each believe that they have the true path to whatever it is they think they're supposed to get in the here after.vraiblonde said:That was just rude.

That made me spit soup.vraiblonde said:They're rude, too.
It's better than seeing her in hell for following an apostate church.vraiblonde said:That was just rude.

You've never heard of the Baptist Bride?
It's not judgemental. It's the truth.pixiegirl said:How awfully judgemental of you! Doesn't God look down on that?

Why would you see her in hell? Are you planning on going there yourself?Funky Brewster said:It's better than seeing her in hell for following an apostate church.

The Presbyterians follow a man named John Calvin and not the Lord Jesus. They also baptise unbelievers (babies). Both clearly go against what my Bible says.
The truth shall set you free.
You might want to READ the Bible someday. You don't follow a specific religion anymore? It doesn't sound like the Presbies or Lutherans (followers of Martin Luther) did such a good job after all.pixiegirl said:The truth according to you and your church. Truth in religion is SUBJECTIVE.
Though I don't follow any specific religion as an adult (though I am a Christian) I grew up going to both Lutheran and Presbyterian churches. I vividly remember praying to God and not John Calvin.
I'd also like to add that it's people like you that turn me and many others away from organized religion. The truth shall set you free! Keep up the good work!

I want to thank God for all of the blessings He has brought to my life.

Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

You don't have to justify yourself to me. Take it to God.pixiegirl said:I have thanks. The bible is subjective. Reading the bible and personal interpretation is subjective. God gave me a mind of my own and I choose to reach my own conclusions less follow someone else's.
Again, how very Christian of you. I'll bet God is beaming with pride!
Martin Luther founded the Lutheran religion; it's not a freaking cult. Lutherans don't "follow" anyone other then God. I took confirmation through the Lutheran Church and specifically remember having a bible.
