I hope you can help. I have a friend who is planning to marry in March. I am trying to help her find places to marry- non-denominational, that is inexpensive in the st. mary's area. Any ideas? Also I am ordained but does anyone know the laws of maryland as far as that goes? Thanks for your help :shrug:

American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus have halls as well as most of the fire departments. If you have access to the base there is a hall and pavillion that can be rented out near the O'club.

Avenmar

I got married (and hosted reception) at the Clubhouse in Avenmar. Avenmar is a (as i understand it) sub-division of Breton Bay. Clubhouse is on the water, can hold 150 easy, possibly 200. Has 2 kitchens and a bar area, and a room upstairs. Very cheap, outside is gorgeous.
