Stamping Grounds

Claim: A U.S. postage stamp commemorates the Islamic holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Status: True.

CHRISTMAS STAMP

How ironic is this??!! They don't even believe in Christ and they're getting their own Christmas stamp, but don't dream of posting the ten commandments on federal property?

USPS New Stamp

This one is impossible to believe. Scroll down for the text.

If there is only one thing you forward today.....let it

be this!

ðäÆ

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of PanAm
Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World
Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine
barracks in Lebanon!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military
barracks in Saudi Arabia!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American
Embassies in Africa!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on 9/11/2001!

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Now the United States Postal Service REMEMBERS and HONORS the
EID MUSLIM holiday season with a commemorative first class
holiday postage stamp.

REMEMBER to adamantly and vocally BOYCOTT this stamp
when purchasing your stamps at the post office.
To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those
AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

And I still say MERRY CHRISTMAS. Screw Happy Holidays.

This just ain't right! A Muslim stamp celebrating a Muslim religious holiday here in the U.S.? The same religious group that wants to kill us? Oh, and we aren't allowed to celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday anymore. Believe it or not, CHRISTMAS is about the birth of CHRIST, not about buying crap and exchanging gifts. I'm with you on the Merry Christmas thing. I am always ready with a "Merry Christmas!" anytime someone starts with the Happy Holidays line.

Also, curious, does anyone know anyone who actually celebrates Kwanzaa? Most of the black people I know chuckle when we talk about it.

Those of the jewish faith don't believe in Christ either and they have their own christmas stamp.

What is boycotting this particular stamp going to do? You'll still have to buy stamps-I don't think the post office cares which ones you use either way

it doesn't matter to me whats on the stamp as long as my mail gets there.

I disagree. I will not BUY, with my money, a Kwanzaa or Muslim stamp. It's a matter of principle. Kwanzaa is some stupid made up holiday and the Muslims are trying to kill us. I'm Christian and wouldn't have a problem buying a Jewish stamp or a stamp with a famous black person on it. It's the principle.
