If she doesn't want the baby, she can put the baby up for adoption. Life must be protected from conception to natural death.

The issue is not if she wanted the baby or not, its that her so-called boyfriend put RU-486 in her drink. He obtained it illegally in India (I've read this story on a site other than the one linked) and could have caused her permanent injury or death nevermind the misscarriage.

Ok, here comes the RED.
What difference does it make when SHE decides to use the pill and not inform him?? Heated issue.

Wow, what a statement! :faint:

I won't give you red, but I will say that I don't agree with that one bit!

It worked like I intended. I just threw that statement out to open the discussion.

I didn't give you red, I understand that it is out there for discussion. I just can't imagine anyone thinking that it threw me off guard! :lmao:

Here is a quote from the linked site "The newspapers reported that Patel is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child; second-degree reckless endangerment; placing foreign objects in edibles; possession of prescription drugs; stalking; burglary; possession of burglary tools and two counts of violating a restraining order."

The issue of whether or not she wanted the baby absolutely IS part of the issue. A woman who does not want her baby is certainly allowed to get an abortion. If she had not wanted the baby this probably would never be an issue. Women can freely kill their babies -- men cannot. Thus, the issue.

While designed to generate discussion, the OP makes an interesting point. A baby is spawn of two creatures -- why shouldn't they each have rights to the decision regarding its life? Its not like women these days don't know where babies come from.

x 7 for in vitro?

Again, the pro-death side tries to hide the actual act behind meaningless hypothetical. The only time people can claim life insurance on a loved one, (or anyone) is IF they had obtained a life insurance policy naming them as beneficiary and on which premiums were paid. Many people do not get life insurance until adult, maybe through work or fraternal organisation.
