Accident on road to Gate 3

Hello again,

The guy did not have enough insurance, plus he will have claims from Verizon, smeco and my neighboor. Hard to get the deductibles back when this happens :(.

I learned that the minimum required by law is 15,000 property damage per accident, that wont even cover my totaled car.

The structural engineer is coming out Monday, I pray that we can continue to stay in our home. If not I have to find a place to rent for a month to month lease with pets. The insurance will reimburse me but I have to come up with the security deposit and rent.

It is a huge mess right now and I appreciate any help.

Hello all,

I just wanted to ask for a bit of help. Our insurance is covering most of the damage but the hidden costs are adding up :(. Deducibles, replacing a car, replacing items etc. If you could please share or donate, we would be most appreciative. Thank you

You file claims with your auto and home owners insurance, and they go after the other insurance company. That's their job. It's the other insurance companies job to do everything they can to not pay you.

You may end up in court. Save all your receipts. Every-single-one.

That may take months, if not years. And in a lot of cases, if the defendant doesn't have money, the plaintiff gets nothing even if the case is in their favor. As I see it, the problem is 'now'. A wrecked house and car that need replacing today. Not saying they shouldn't pursue those routes, but sounds like help is needed to get them thru the short term.

The problem is, we only have their word to go on regarding the insurance situation. Sorry...not sorry. Don't trust anyone in the world of crowd funding.
