Two days in a row, and I heard both times the accident on the bridge was attributed to the construction steel plates/hump, apparently people are flying down, spotting the plates at the last minute and slamin on their brakes. Yesterday I believe a vehicle actually kicked the plate up...

If they can't put plates down that will stand up to 45 MPH, they either need to change the plates or change the speed limit. Also, the sign that warns about the plates is more than a mile from the plates, so people have forgotten the sign by the time they get there. This is one of the most boneheaded road projects I've ever seen.
