ACCIDENTS KEEP PILING UP

Rolling off the island a few minutes ago, and though I typically run at 34 in the 30 zone, I was aggressively passed by a big luxury SUV, that had been running up my arse, with the hammer fully down. While I was actually impressed with the sound of the engine at full song, and the obvious ability of said vehicle to quickly accelerate to 60mph + in only a couple hundred yards, I really need to start shooting them.
I went out yesterday. What's up with these jerks rolling up on my bumper? There are 3 lanes, douche. I'm at 10 above the limit. Pick a freaking lane and get off my azz.

In LP by the base?

If so, how the f is anyone going fast enough to do that?
That particular stretch of road is notorious for people racing down the left-most lane. Since that lane ends as the left turn only into Gate 2 of the base AND it was the weekend and the gate is closed, people use it to "get ahead" of everyone and typically get up to around 70MPH before they get to the light at Gate 2 so they can cut back over in front of everyone. I've seen it happen so many times I have lost count. Also betting that cell use is a factor as well.

Accidents all over the place this morning. Solomons (light pole across the road) , Lexington Park, Point Lookout Rd in Leonardtown (head on w/ fatality).
The roads are slick...slow the fu@k down and pay attention! Headlights should be on, too!
I'm happy to have no place to go today.
Just read the T-bone crash in Solomons ended with a fatality.

I've noticed that since I got a car (yea, a car) a couple months ago and am driving it more than the F150 that I get tailgated and pulled out in front of more often.
I guess those drivers don't realize that, at least in my case, that what I drive doesn't change my base personality.

There is something intimidating about a pickup. I know when I pull up behind people at a light, I leave plenty of room between us, but they see a grill and headlights looming in their rear view and start moving forward like I'm about to run them over.

A rollover happened yesterday at the Rt5/GMR intersection yesterday. Wife and I were at the storage facility and heard the crash. I told her, "That didn't sound good."

What was up at the Solomons Bridge this morning? I inched up to the front northbound as southbound traffic kept moving. After sitting about 30 mins, I turned around. Eff it. I don't need money THAT bad.

Thank you! I knew it had to be serious, but couldn't understand why northbound was stopped as southbound kept moving.

Yesterday a school bus was going North on 235 enroute to a school toward the end of the school day. He was traveling all over the road. No sense in telling the police about a potential drunk driver or a high driver. State Police don't pull over School Bus drivers. They will pull the rest of us over instead. I'm not sure why the MSP has such a cozy relationship with the BOE. I haven't determined if the SMCSO is the same yet.

I was heading south not even an hour prior to that accident in the same general area. Lot of traffic but it was moving for the most part at posted limit. Some a** in a Tesla came swooping up on my left at what had to be 60 plus, began weaving in and out of traffic at the same level of speed and don't you know it another Tesla came out of nowhere following him like it was some testosterone loaded game of car tag. In all that traffic. I don't know what possesses people, but I swear I've been thanking God lately whenever I get home safely - it's freaking nuts out there.
I have seen the Sheriff's Office doing some traffic enforcement. Although the MSP is the primary law enforcement for traffic, I rarely see them doing any traffic enforcement in Lexington Park / California area like they used to back in the day. Every Spring throuigh Fall for the last seveal "years" I have been the first on the scene of an accident before police or EMS. I render aid and let the 911 know about the accident. Most of the time, for some reason it takes quite a while for anyone - police or EMS to arrive. There have been times while am rendering aid that I wonder if anyone is going to arrive. Last year a lady claimed she was waiting 15 minutes before I arrived. She was pushed quite a ways off the road and up a hill. I hope she was not accurate about her time frame. But in today's World, who knows.

Both of these are merely "Crash Response." They do no real traffic enforcement at all. They merely arrive when it's time to assign blame and clean up.
Hell, just yesterday I saw an unmarked SUV riding NB on 235 get overtaken by a douche nozzle flying through the turn right-only lane at Shady Mile. Did absolutely NOTHING about it.

I've said this before in this thread but I can guarantee that if the various agencies started to do more traffic enforcement that there would be no end of the bitching and moaning about that rather than the bitching and moaning about them not doing it.

As a note, I had to go to Loveville last Friday and saw at least three or four units, MSP and SMSO, doing radar in separate locations. One had a couple vehicles pulled off, that was below Charlotte Hall.
