Well fortunatley her skin isn't a problem because she's been taking benadryl since she was first diagnosed w/ allergies as a young adult and she's 8 now. Benadryl and betadine solution for the feet is what gets her through, as recommended by my vet.

You said she was itchy..

That's fine. I just find that vets tend to treat allergies with lots of meds when dogs are better served by supplements and good food.

You know, benadryl isn't something she should get everyday and it will dry out her skin.

Don't tell my vet, I take 4 of them every night to fall asleep. :lmao:

I only give it to the dog if she gets bitten by a flea, stung by a bee or her belly gets really irritated from the grass and such.

Yes, her eyes seem to be itchy, not so much a skin condition other than her feet which is a fungal & bacterial situation goin on...FUN STUFF !! But I don't see how it's possible when she's allergice to dust, grass, tree's for goodness sake...but it's managable now, she's feeling better than she has in years. (Minus a blown ACL last year).

It's quite common...often brought on by food, exacerbated by steroids, antibiotics and other meds.
