Joedancer,
I notice that the first site you posted just counts all deaths giving no cause. The second is a list of personnel that have died, it gives causes of death, but if you think I plan on sitting here and counting them you are dumber then I think. I did notice that on that very first page there were a few that would be classified as non-combat related. The third is a busted link or has been re-directed and is as useless as you are to this conversation. The forth site regurgitates the first and provides no cause for the deaths.
You didn’t even bother to read what I posted. I said there were other deaths, but they aren't attributed to combat. While you might have no comprehension of the significance of a combat casualty many of us do. We served and many of us have watched our brethren die. Have you ever served in the military? I doubt it. And as an aside, what was our average daily body count from 01/1964 to 05/1975 in SE Asia? Want to talk about a lot of death. During those 4,000 plus days we averaged better than 6 a day. So no, we aren’t losing great numbers of personnel based upon that comparison.
One of the things that you are missing is that whether or not we are at war our military loses personnel every day. But in this topic we were specifically talking about combat casualties. If you can’t follow the topic then it is probably best that you just sit back and keep that gaping hole beneath your nose shut (or as we are typing, stick your fingers back were you usually keep them while you practice your game of pocket pool).
It is obvious to me that you are nothing more then a Bush hater and an overly exuberant peace-nik? That you would rather create an atmosphere to generate hate towards our government and it’s leader for doing the bidding of our nation and following the instructions issued by our elected representatives.
The price for removing this threat to our national security is costly. But our nation must make those sacrifices in the name of our security and thank God that we have so many willing to take on that challenge and so few, like you, that sit back in safety whining and sniveling about it.
