Can you copy and paste from Adobe? I cannot seem to copy anything, although I was told that you must purchase the product in order to copy anything. Is this true?

Reader is just that...a reader that lets you look at the files.

Use the print screen button, then paste it into Word or Paint or something.

Or you could get a screen capture program, like Snag It, or something.

Hmmmm, this is interesting.
You want to use adobe, yet you dont really want to spend money for it...

I notice also that your premo status has expired.

could these two seperate items be in some way related?

OR buy a copy of Adobe Acrobat..
That all depends on how much it costs. If it's out of a poor college students range then it's out of the question and I'll have to ask you hackers.

How much does something like Adobe cost?

in that case, it might could be out of range.
I think I paid a couple hundred or so for the full blown version.
Might have been less, it was a couple years ago, but still out of the poor college students range.

The ability to copy depends on the file. Some pdf's are set so that you can select/copy text and graphics. Some are scans, so you can't select text, but you can still copy graphics. Some files are set so that you can't copy anything (usually for copyright reasons). It all depends on the permissions that are set when the file is created. Although, I believe that there are hacks out there that can bypass the security...

Buddy, you can copy graphics from Adobe Reader 7. Use the Select tool to draw a rectangle around the graphic you want to copy. You can paste into MS Paint or Adobe Photoshop.

Here is a free alternative to Photoshop:

Thanks, Ylexot. I forgot about the security restrictions.

Yea man. The day before I graduated from SMCM I went down to the tech lab and bought all the software they had for later use.

Windows XP pro = $10
Microsoft Office = $5
Ripping off the largest corporation in America = Priceless

This worked easy peasy. Thanks for relieving all the heartache everyone.

I'll have to go and check out what programs the college offers after I obtain a new computer without the hindrance of snail speed.
