FYI:
When you adopt a pet from SMAWL, HSCC, PAWS, CAWL, etc you are getting a pet that is FULLY vetted, wormed, vaccinated, altered, tested for 2 deadly diseases and microchipped...all at a discounted fee.
The fee you pay is a great deal less tahn you would pay if you did all this at normal fees.

You get a pet, that if for some reason, you can not keep, the agency will take back,...no questions asked

The fee you pay goes back into the adoption program so that another cat can be fully vetted and cared for and fed until it gets adopted.

It is NOT a profit making process.

She was saying that she thought $125 from SMAWL was a good deal.

We have two beautiful full grown cats, 5 and 6, male and female, spayed and neutered who would love to have a forever inside home. :howdy: We foster dogs for The LuckyOnes but ended up with these beauties and since they were raised inside we're afraid to have them go outside on the farm. They're FREE! One white with red and one white with grey. :flowers: They should go together. :huggy: Just a thought.

would love to help you out but we already have an adult cat who would not respond well to the introduction of another adult. we're hoping that she'll accept a kitten as non-threatening.

I was giving a breakdown of WHY it is a good deal..
What part of my post did you not understand?

The way you worded your post made it sounds like you thought she was complaining about the adoption fee.

OK....
Perhaps I should have explained myself more...
In that I do foster and that I know the cost and was explaining in a bit more detail what the owner is getting for their money...and it is a lot more than the spay fee..and that is a good deal...
How is that?

 That's fine. It's just that usually people don't take the time to go into detail explaining something that the person already agrees with.

OK....
How about this:

What part of my post did you find confusing and that I was not clear in my explanation?

Is that any better?

It's not my job to break down the semantics of your communication skills.

But you did..and said I was being rude...

So you came to a conclusion based on my written form of communication.

And I was not being rude Nickel.

Nickel: She's always rude. She turns me off from adopting an animal.

You have never met me and you do not know me, so to say I am always rude is not the truth BS Gal.

Thanks....

You got mad when I was joking around in a thread about a bald eagle, which, obviously was just a joke. I just think you need to lighten up. While I understand your love for animals and have been told you are a wonderful advocate and very, very kind and helpful, sometimes you come off as being rude in your posts. I think if you lighten up and have a bit of a sense of humor, people will be much more receptive. That's all. And I do think that the things you do for animals are wonderful.

I will try to take it all as a joke.....and keep my focus on my real life and not this forum.

You should still try to educate people on here about wildlife. If I had a situation, you'd be the first I'd PM, so you have educated me. :huggy:
