Soul Probe
Many years ago I experienced the classic Raymond Moody NDE. Whether that was a glimpse of an afterlife or a physiological phenomenon of the brain dying I don't know. What I do know, is that once the initial fear is gone, one can experience bliss. Now whether that's for eternity or a split second doesn't matter, it's a state of being that I call Heaven.

I am looking forward to my 70 virgiBOOOOOOOM

What I find interesting is that no one has chosen option:
"When I die, I am going to hell and will be aware of it"

It makes me wonder why. All humans have evil in their hearts & minds. Some ask forgiveness but continue doing evil, be it a false word, mean word, mean thought, lustful thought about someone other than their SO, stealing that pen from work, cussing someone while driving..etc...ask forgiveness again and again and again...continue being the same person and nothing changes.

How does one believe they will go to heaven when they continue to KNOWINGLY commit sins every day? Just because they ask forgiveness?

How many times would you allow someone in your life to continue to sin against you, then ask forgiveness, sin some more, ask forgiveness more, until you finally cut them out of your life?

Ever wonder how long it will take God to turn His Back on You? Before He gives up because He knows no matter how sincere you may be at that moment, you choose to continue to commit sins even though you know it is wrong?

Food for thought.

Absolutely spot on. I was just about to post that same thought checking in this morning. Nearly everyone, especially in this poll, believes in something, but amazingly enough, no one believes in hell. If there is a heaven (which there is) there has to be an alternative to it. The old rewards-punishment thingy.

Should have been two choices, because two and three go hand in hand. One of the two will happen, but I doubt many, if any, would honestly admit they would end up in hell, if they simply think about the either/or.

Hell is as real as heaven. No in between. Individual choice.

This poll has, inadvertently or not, been tossed into the "eternity" category, whether one believes it or not.

It will happen.:buddies:

How about Purgatory? I should have added that one.

If there is no heaven, above us only sky there is no hell below us.... no promise of an award for good behavior, no threat of eternal punishment.

Just being good for goodness sake.

I agree with all of Bob's posts in this thread, especially the one about being good for goodness sake. I think this is it, all you get, so you need to make your few years on earth count and not pin your hopes on getting a deal when you die.

This life is your heaven or your hell, and you get to choose which it is.
