Age limit to stay at home for kids??

Anyone know what the age is for a kid to stay home by themselves? Not sure where to look it up, checked MD Law but I'm not coming up w/ anything except abuse/neglect cases...Thanks for any info!!!

I'd give them until 18, then they gotta get the #### out.

I started making dinner for the whole family when I was 14. My mom would leave a note on what to cook so dinner would be ready when my parents got home from work.

If I wasn't cooking at that age, I wasn't going to eat!

When I was 14, if I wanted to eat, I cooked. I wasn't waiting 3+ hours for mom to get home after school and then get around to it- I'd have wasted away by then. Hell, by 6 or 7 I was using the nuker for sausage links and hot dogs. :shrug:

I didn't read this entire thread (about to go play Literati) but to answer the question.

Lugnut is correct, no one under 13 can watch anyone under 8 meaning 13y/o can babysit free and clear. No one under 8 can stay at home alone and 8y/o can only stay at home alone up to 90mins preferrably during light hours.
