Aging beef question

So if I buy steaks from the supermarket, can I just take them out of the plastic wrapper and age them in the fridge? Do I let them go past the sell by date? Has anyone ever aged beef at home?

Yes you can. I would loosely wrap a paper towel around the steak, leaving the ends open. A lot of info on line and several ways to do it.

You can, but I've decided I'm not a fan of overaged meats.
