Chopticon H.S. has Air Force ROTC.
Great Mills has Navy ROTC
Leonardtown doesn't have ROTC.

High schools have Junior ROTC. There is no military obligation associated with it. Many colleges have ROTC. After a certain grade there is a military obligation.

There are several different scholarships associated with college ROTC. Some private colleges provide free room & board to their ROTC students.

My son did his first 3 years at Chopticon HS AF JROTC.. he enjoyed it.
Leonardtown HS has no JROTC and Great Mills does Navy JROTC.

My son lives in Leonardtown and it was simple paperwork to apply to go to out of district Chopticon,
A bus provides a ride for out of district kids that want classes that are not available at there in district or the tech center.

My (ex) step-son is currently a AF JROTC at Chopticon. He loves it and is ready to sign up for the Air Force once he graduates.

Closest Air Force recruiter is in Waldorf. Army, Navy, & Marines are next to Jiffy Lube on Rt. 235.
