Alcohol to a minor

Exactly, I don't by any means think that this 11 y/o was tricked into drinking beer either! But obviously there is a lack of parental control/supervision. I don't know if the parents were allowing them to drink the beer or if the child decided to drink it on his own.

The kid may have also made up the whole story and there was no beer involved at all.

You have to be careful getting excited about kid stories because they are notorious liars and don't realize the consequences of something like that.

My 11 y/o told me that his friend at school looked really sick and when asked what was wrong, his initial reply was "I can't tell you" and then said "okay, I'll tell you." Last night my older brother (high school age) poured my soda out when I wasn't looking and filled it up with beer. He tricked me into drinking 3 beers and I was throwing up all night. I asked my kiddo were his parents home when this happened and kiddo said yup because his mom knew something was wrong when he kept running into the walls and then started throwing up!

Okay, knowing the above, would you call the school and ask that they look into the situation or call child protective services and relay the story so they could check into it or merely do nothing at all.

Kids lie and that smells like :bs: If indeed parts of it are true, but then, you don't know which parts are.

Butt out and MYOB. You'll end of looking like a fool, especially if your kid is lying or embellishing.

And how does a child learn about the consequences? By suffering the consequences, right? So if it is a lie, then lesson learned and if its not a lie, then child has been helped.

The story sounds like BS! How was the kid tricked? Beer doesn't taste like soda.

so the consequence for trying to be cool in front of a friend would be to have the parents questioned for months by cps? Maybe having him ripped and put into foster care. What a good consequence. :duh: You came on here asking everyones opinion , they all gave you the same one. Just chill and don't do anything drastic. You are fighting that opinion which tells me you were going to do whatever it was you were going to do anyways. Quit wasting our time.

How do you know he hasn't already been punished and learned the consequences?

So, the parents have CPS climb up into their rectums with a microscope for months on end, and the kid may or may not be removed from the home and placed into foster care, and the family has that stigma for the rest of their dysfunctional lives.

Great way to teach a kid not to lie. :yay:

It sounds to me like you already have your mind made up what you want to do.

Have fun with that, Gladys Kravitz.

And this is your business why? You asked an opinion, everyone has pretty much told you the same thing, yet still you persist.

You have this unfortunate habit of getting your nose in places where it doesn't belong. I suggest a job or a hobby to keep you occupied so you don't have so much time on your hands.
