I shot this in Atlantis of my daughters years ago with that Fuji kit camera, actually one of my favorites.

You're welcome and we're all still learning
just to qualify...those lenses screw onto the existing lens to magnify...they aren't seperate lenses, the lens on the camera will always be there unless you drop it
Some just more than others
sanchezf: What are you planning to take pictures of with your new camera?
Digital SLR's are the way to go. Keep in mind it won't be handy like the point and shoot cameras, but they have great versatility due to removable lenses. And you can always add more attachments to suit your needs.
I read that the Canon Rebel XTi is a great camera. It's roughly $500 for the body.
Mostly pictures of my kids and dogs
Just looking for something with a little better picture than the average $100 Kodak...
Check out the Canon Powershot S3 IS.Just looking for something with a little better picture than the average $100 Kodak...
Ok, DSLR might be an overkill for you than. I would look into handheld point and shoot. Yes, you want a camera with greater optical zoom than a digital zoom. I have never been a big fan of Kodak since technology went through the roof. Sony, Nikon and Canon are probably the ones I would stick with unless I read good reviews.
Would you then go with the something along this line
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8: Digital Photography Review
It looks pretty good on papeer. I mean specification wise. It doesn't look very portable though. Hmmmm...I guess I'm trying to say that this looks like a camera you plan to bring rather than a camera that's always with you in a purse.
Here is another pic I took this weekend from that camera. I think it is cool pic.
I have the Kodak Easy Share 10x zoom and love it I've had it for about 2 or 3 years now and never had a problem.
