Im sure you take great care of your animals Paso but just be sure you know what your getting yourself into before getting an alpeca. You should'nt get an animal just to make money. =D

Again, I know Mr.Bojangles looks healthy and happy but I am just saying.

Pretty animal you have their; Mr.Bojangles.

Her business IS animals, a variety of services and livestock. As long as it's done responsibly there's nothing wrong with making them your source of income. Besides, the advice is coming a little late, she's been doing this a long time.

One of my first male llamas about 10 yrs ago was a male the previous owner motgaged their house for. Paid $45K for this llama..:faint: then the market fell like alpacas will in a few years and you could get him for a fraction of that..

I need to give her a call anyway. I haven't talked to her in weeks. I want to go see how much the baby alpaca has grown. She's 6 or 7 months old now.

....

I was not trying to be rude, nor start anything. I am only a teen. I was just saying.

That is fine if she doese make money with animals but some people do this in a bad manor. Like.. they do not know what there doing, etc. I never said Paso didn't know what to do.

Again, not trying to start anythig.

Glad this didn't sour you on the forums. The printed word is tricky, hard sometimes to know what was truly meant. Stick to the horsie board! If you're brave, unlike me, you can share your adventures and mis-adventures a'la horseback. Sorry to be abrupt w/ you. It's good to just read a while, get the lay of the land so to speak before posting. Welcome and enjoy!

Hey Paso. Honestly, what's the deal with Alpacas? I mean, I can see paying 45k for a good horse - not that I could afford it, but I understand the market for it. So who would pay that much for an alpaca or llama? Where is the market? It can't be just for the fleece.

I'm asking this seriously because my hubby is considering getting a few - as a business venture I'm assuming. I know nothing about them. You can PM me if you like.

Thanks.
