You can get fake fingernails for kitties. You glue them on and they can't scratch stuff.
I posted a picture of Timon one time wearing them. I can't find it anymore.

I would love to see you doing that.Tried 'em. They work, but are a PIA! Do you honestly think a cat is going to sit still for that amount of time while you glue them on? Especially every two weeks or when they fall off.
I wonder if he could get rhinestones put on those...

Timon will sit handsome while I trim his nails. Sometimes he gets fed up with it though and wants to get away. I should get some pink soft paws just to torture him.I would love to see you doing that.
My aunt used to have a poodle whose nails were always painted pink. Her name was Strawberry (the poodle, not my aunt ).I would love to see you doing that.
Ooh! What a great idea for Ruby!! I tried to paint her nails once. It did not go well.
I deleted it, along with the one of me wearing the fairy costume. I'm a man, damn it!
Mittens!
I would miss him too much.Put a big bow in Timon and drop him off at house. YW.
New furniture is overrated...I would miss him too much.
Hubby wants the new furniture. I've been telling him no for 2 years. Eventually we'll have to buy some.New furniture is overrated...

Does anybody know why a cat would "forget" how to retract her nails? My Reese cat will stretch or start kneading and then go to walk off or laydown and gets tangled because her nails are still out. I have to massage each paw to get them retracted.
Timons sounds vicious and a danger, you should have him euthanized. YW
Fear the wrath..... Get him declawed. It'll cost you more but go to a vet that does it with a lazer. I've personally witnessed the procedure and the lazer cauterizes the blood vessels and nerve endings and as soon as the cats are awake they are on their feet. There are no torniuqtes (sp?), bleeding afterwards or pain meds. I don't know if any local vets have a lazer but I know St. Charles Animal Hospital on DooLittle Drive in Waldorf does. It's not as cheap but it's worth it. I only have my 10 year old cat done but if any of the younger ones were destroying my house I would not hesitate.
I spoke to my vet about the laser procedure. I was teary eyed just talking about it, but she assured me everything would be fine.
Wait until you have a baby boy and have to make the decision as to whether or not to get his wickemwooter skin cut off...
