Yeah, that's the concrete I'm talking about. That's really alot more money than flagstone?

That sounds easier than cleaning the concrete.czygvtwkr said:The grout I used was a light brown about the color of coffe with milk in it and then I sealed it so it hasn't stained at all.
Cleaning the til just involves a quick hit with the hose.
We don't have any trees so that's not an issue. The issue we have is the dog's muddy/sandy feet all over the patio, then (I guess) the sun baking it on and appearing to stain it. I'm not going to hose the patio down every time the dog goes outside.czygvtwkr said:It really is. Now if you leave autumn leaves on it and they get all wet and sit there for a while they will stain the tile just like concrete.
I'm in the process of doing this -using rock. Dig out the area level, lay down weed fabric, layer of sand and then place the stones in, pour some more sand on and wet down.Vince said:I'd have to get a closer look, but I think the joints were tight enough where they just swept sand into them. They lay them into packed sand the same way they do with the brick. Under the sand they put a barrier to prevent anything from growing up through. Check out the DIY website.
