Has anyone had any warranty work done through Alvico for air conditioning? Ours went out last night and that is who the warranty company is sending for repairs.

I haven't, but if your still under warranty make sure you tell them (Alvico) everything that's going on. Test both your heating and air before they leave to make sure it works to your satisfaction. If you do all that, you should be OK.

Yes, just last month. Great guy, I wouldn't hesitate to call them if I needed any non-warranty work done either. Do you have HMS as your warranty company? If so, just an fyi here.

They sent the guy from Alvico (hvac) out to assess the issue. Once he determined it was actually an electrical problem, he called HMS and they then assigned an electric company (AB Electrical Contractors) to actually complete the repairs. They were also great, both companies were very quick to get out here. If you do have HMS and two companies have to come out, you still only have to pay one deductible.

Thank you so much!

Our warranty company is First American Home Buyers. We just bought the house in March and our real estate agent bought the warranty for us. My husband used to work in HVAC, so he knows what the possibilities are. I'm making him stay home to meet the guys because I have no idea about any of that and what repairs should cost. It just needs to hurry up and be Monday... :hot:

Sure happy to hear that Alvico worked out. I have the same Home Warranty. They use to use Tri-County Air but they dropped out (guess they weren't making enough profit!). I always go with a yearly maintenance contract. So, since you had a good experience with them - I'll give them a call and see what type of yearly maintenance agreements they have.

Thanks!
