Am I missing something...?

Basically, I am getting a boxer pup soon!

Well, at least I hope to... have some fights to win with the fiancee hah

anyways, I'm trying to sort out any expenses that may incur monthly so I know what to expect to spend

What i've thought up so far:
Food, giant bag from BJs/CostCo: ~$40, which I am pretty sure will last more than just a month
Treats: <$20/mo
Cleaning soaps/shampoos etc: <$15
Toys: <$10/mo, I was thinking of chew bones etc, not rubber ones so it won't get in a habit of chewing rubber shoes or something
Bed: $35
Leash/harness: $20

I also thought about vaccinations and such, but it's been years since I've had to take one to get any shots... After the initial wave of worming shots as a pup, what is a typical schedule to get a dog checked up and prices if you happen to know them

anything else? I've had dogs as pets in apts before and don't run into many monthly expenses other than food/treats, but was curious if I should have been doing more

Cost to replace said fiance's shoes, belts, sunglasses, etc. that the dog will chew up if found laying around: $150

Cost of flowers/dinner/stuff to put fiance in a better mood when frustration over puppy builds: $200

Just took our healthy dog to the vet for shots, heartworm tests and heartworm meds. It was $240 and there is nothing wrong with her. Just usual yearly check-up.

ive read over them before. ive had 3 boxers when i was a teen that my parents raised, and we've never run into any of the genetic issues, at least none that hindered them in any obvious way.. all died at a pretty normal age, tho one had a bad accident out of our control

Crate

ah, almost forgot about that, but i did plan to crate train her very early

i absolutely love boxers and have missed mine ever since my last one in high school.. theyre the sweetest and most gentle dogs ive personally owned.. next up are pugs, but my last 2 pugs just werent as bright as my boxers

well, maybe my parents got lucky when picking out their boxers, and i hope to have a good bloodline as well. hard to tell when theyre just pups and everything "seems" to be okay..

Not really. You buy from a reputable breeder. Health testing of the parents is EXTREMELY important when buying a Boxer puppy.

well, the person i am buying from, theyre about 7hrs away from here, but theyve given me their vet's information and i talked to the vet and their 2 boxers, both about 5years old, are very healthy and have no problems thus far, and they kept one pup from her first litter and hes about 3yrs old now and still very healthy

so, i hope to think that this is enough for me to drive 7 hours for a boxer.. ive talked to a few in the dc/richmond area and none really seemd quite as open about giving their information of their vet and just insist their pups are good

i finally got my fiancee to side with me and we're going to go sunday to see and pick up the pup now, she's completely run over me and said she gets to name the dog

Definetly crate train. It is the only thing that saved my boxer's life a few times when I was ready to scream blue bloody murder over my shoes being eaten. Now he just TP's the house so he is in his crate when at work.

doing it right now! picked up my beautiful little girl saturday and am watching her snore in her crate now! soooo cuute!! shes one of the best behaved dogs i've ever had! very very little whining/barking and also uses the potty outside as soon as we take her out ratehr than all over our carpet!
