...a failing of the system?

We have the right to vote and are free to pizz it away.

Frankly, I'm happy that people who don't care to learn enough about the issues choose not to vote. Especially as easy as it is today.
I'm not so sure it is not wanting to learn about the candidate (for some sure) but thinking that neither party really represents them.

Then there are the significant mass who just don't care. Those are the ones I am glad aren't voting. If they had to vote, they would just click any name.

I would rather people making a decision they feel is informed (even if they are hardcore leftists), than people making a click just because they have to (not saying anyone suggested the should have to).

What I'm not happy about is that it seems that very few people know the history of the country. I.e. about why the government was set up the way it is, what the philosophies of the Founders were, what the Constitution says, etc. I admit, I used to be one of them and I still don't know as much as I want to, but I am working to change that. To me, that is a major failing of our education system.

Ok...

but thinking that neither party really represents them.

...what's worse, not voting at all or voting for, say Kerry or W, even if you don't support them but you can't stand the other guy more?

I say voting for someone you don't support is worse, way worse.

I don't care who they are, write it in if you have to, ONLY vote for who you support.

If Kerry had won, then he wins. The GOP or some other party will simply have to run a better candidate next time. Same with the Democrats. They are so lost and upset because not only did they lose but none of them and I mean not one actually supported Kerry.

What could be better than selling a product to people who'll buy it because of what the other guy is doing? That makes them lazy and the product crap, like Kerry.

It is beyond my comprehension to vote for someone I am not comfortable with.

Yeah...

Then there are the significant mass who just don't care.

...they don't give a rats azz...right up until they've had three beers or someone sticks a microphone in their face or the other guy wins.

Then the opinion starts flying. Then they care.

Actually, I think this is the biggest failing of our election system. Voter turnout in this country is embarassing.

I agree but at least we all get the chance. bush doesn't care if all Iraqi's the chance as long as they get an election done.
