Susan Sarandon goes full batshit...

She got on a stage and ranted a bunch of ignorant antisemitic hate speech and got her ever loving ass handed to her - "Thank you, white supremacist lady, for telling us what it's like to be Muslim in America" - then her agent dropped her.

:lmao:

Oh god, PLEASE let this be a turning point. PLEASE let it be that we're finally sick of the mental psycho bullshit, ready to kick these people to the curb and get back to normal. 🙏

Like alot of mouthy stupid leftists, she's not gonna be hurt one bit by this. What does she care, she's worth 50,60 million so how is being dropped by her agency. Rules for thee, but not for me.

She's another "has been" trying to make herself significant again.
Again.
Well, yeah. She peaked about 30 years ago. While she still acts, she hasn't been in anything Emmy or Oscar worthy in a long time.

I never get the vicious, snarky activism of Hollywood types. For one - their brand depends very, very heavily on popularity. The actors whose candle doesn't burn out quick tend to be less vocal with their opinions. You have to think that it's desperation - "look at me!" because Hollywood keeps losing interest.

The very top earners in Hollywood rarely step out and do this kind of stuff - it's always the ones NOT getting the blockbusters or the big Academy Award type films.

I don't know, Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson both had a lot of hate towards them and managed fine.

They say there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Tom, because of his embrace of Scientology and some of their beliefs. Since he was brought on board by Mimi Rogers, I tend to think SOME of that has dissipated - I don't think he embraces their views so much. From what I've learned of Scientology over the past thirty plus years - their high value members tend to be treated with kid gloves. They value them so much, they can't risk exposing them to the much harsher treatment the cult does to the rank and file.

You may notice that Tom rarely anymore becomes so outspoken about social issues. He can't risk it, and he doesn't need to. Popular actors don't need activism to draw attention to themselves.

Mel on the other hand - I don't understand. He makes outstanding movies. To my knowledge, he once went off on a rant when he was stone cold drunk and ever since, every shred of his behavior is held up to scrutiny - including some things that just about every die hard Catholic I know firmly believes. The "anti-semitism" of The Passion of the Christ is almost WORD FOR WORD the same as every passion play done in the Catholic church since medieval times. I could have recited the movie without ever having seen it.

I don't share the hatred towards Mel that is so popular. He's one of those people that people hate - because someone else told them to.

Well it wasn't just the one rant when he was pulled over drunk driving. He apparently makes (or did make, nothing recent) lots of "off color" comments like calling a Jewish woman an "oven dodger".

I have nothing against Jews, they do have certain traits and business traits that are noticeable, but they don't hate anyone for not being a Jew, and they are a generous people that help each other.

I have nothing against Jewish people and nothing against individual Muslims. My problem is with Islamic terrorists and their cheerleaders. If you, Muslim person, don't speak out against your terrorist baby murdering religion mates, I have to assume you are aligned with them.

Remember Westboro Baptist? NOBODY was more vocal against them than other Christians. NOBODY.

They have a culture that puts a premium on being successful in both traditional and non-traditional professions that have well-known established means of attainment, and this snowballs from generation to generation. As opposed to a culture that promotes professional sports and music (two incredibly difficult professions to enter) which has the opposite of a snowball effect when so few are able to be successful and the ones that do make it are rarely prepared to maintain and perpetuate the wealth they attain.
