A maroon is sorta like a moron, only more like burgundy instead of chablis. It all depends on what you're serving it with.

I thought it was a Bugs Bunny reference, he used to say "what a maroon, what a cad". Maybe that was Mel Blancs way of saying 'moron'.

Why are so many forum-ites so angry? I feel bad, you all must have issues or family problems or something. For the record, I have met some really nice people -- you all know who you are -- on here. And, it seems that it is mostly women who are so angry, so sarcastic and just plain MEAN that it makes me wonder.......

If you were new, you've been here eight whole months and think you are a seasoned veteran.

Good thing you didn't join before we were tamed by DeeJay and David and they made this the kinder gentler forums, you would still be running.

I have just noticed a lot of "I am new to the forums" posts and started thinking about how nasty some people are. We live in such a great area, most people here are really gracious. But the forum-ites put a whole new spin on things.....No, I didn't get the "maroon" reference - so sue me...- I have lived here my whole 40 years, Mr. King, and like to think that that makes me a seasoned vet....about the area, anyway.....
