You got pics to share?

Not of him peeing on my leg, but I have some on my camera from this weekend. I'll post them tomorrow. He is a very small boxer. Boy got him from Tri-County. He is the goofiest dog I have ever loved. He kept walking up to Rassie this weekend (the most mellow dog you'll ever love) and giving her kisses.

That would be a great youtube video.

How old is he? Sasha is small also. I see Catts boxers and want Sash to be that big. She doesn't seem to gain weight.

Abbey is a big girl. She comes from large females. She's still a good size..she weighs about 65 pounds. Mr. Biscuit is on a diet and has lost 7.5 pounds in the last 6 weeks. He's got another 5 or so pounds to go. His cardiologist wants him thinner. He was about 77 pounds. Buster is the lightweight at 60.

I have Sasha's Mom and Dads names but no info on them. ie.. pics, so not sure why Sash is so small..

Yours don't seem over weight. Radar is probably 65 pnds and doesn't look over weight. But he's tall/spindly. I would like to see Sasha at 50/55 pnds.

Porkchop is a BIG boy that we got from Tri County (will be 2 years in Sept this year). He lost all of that weight with exercise and portion control on the food but he still weighs in at 95 pounds.

Yoda pissed on my leg this weekend. I was out plucking weeds when I felt the "spray." I don't think he MEANT to do it, but I've see him do it to the boy on purpose. He's just bad, but he makes me giggle.

OMG.. my sister's dalmation does that shiat to her!! I think he does it on purpose! LOL

Any new pics?

I think about him often. I'm so glad we pushed them and you were able to adopt him.

My boxer Mopar will be 3 in June. He is a product of one of those back yard breeders and we have spent thousands of dollars trying to find out what is wrong with him. He has bad tummy troubles and has threw up so violently that he has passed out. I have many times picked this 65 lb dog up and ran to the vet and cried all the way there because I thought he was gonna die in my arms before I could get him help. I didn't know alot about boxers before Moe but I wanted one so badly. As much as I have been through with him I couldn't part with him. I hear people say all the time that are getting rid of a boxer it is because it is just too active and it just burns me up!!! I would love to have another boxer but am leary because of what we have been through with Moe.

My boxer will throw up when he eats or drinks too fast...and yes ours is the product of a BYB too. I love him to death but he does cost us some money when he gets sick. His new thing is seasonal allopecia (sp?). Basically for the past two years at this time, he has lost TONS of hair on his sides and back...not pretty but not painful. We were told there is nothing we can do about it...he just needs more sunlight!!! Hopefully by June he will look normal again!

He is still my little baby....weighing in at about 80 pounds. He's a big boy!!

You ever have his heart checked? Fainting/passing out is a sign of cardiomyopathy which is quite common in Boxers. Another common hereditary heart problem is subaortic stenosis.

Boxers are known to have digestive issues but you can really get them under control if you feed a good food and a probiotic.

Where'd you get him?

If he's eating too fast, put a large bone, kong, etc. in his food bowl. It will slow him down. I have a Boxer that was from a puppy mill in NC and the way he eats is like it is his last meal. I have a large plastic bone that I keep in his food bowl and it has helped him to eat slower.

What do you feed him?

He is fed Purina ONE the weight control formula. Not the best food...but better than some!!! He really does it worse when drinking water...we put ice cubes in the water bowl to make the water cold. This has worked because he does slow down when the water is cold and we just monitor him and make him pause when drinking. Sometimes we give him table scraps in his food bowl and that is when he really eats quickly...and usually throws up afterwards. We've cut out the table scraps because he was getting a little pudgy and so far...no vomit!!! Hopefully that will solve that problem!

I have one Boxer that will barf after eating ice. Don't let him exericse hard for a few hours before or after eating. Also, don't let him drink a lot of water right after eating. Boxers have issues with bloat.

I thought my girl was small at 65 pounds. She is a doll, we have two kids, two cats and she takes care of all of us. After we got her from a breeder I realized there were so many Boxers out there waiting to be rescued I felt guilty!
She was having stomach problems too, so one day I gave her a Tums, settled it right out!. We never feed her any scraps, that really helped a lot. She doesn't drool either.
She has a weird yeast infection on her feet and belly. I started spraying he feet with athletes foot spray (Tinactin, Desenex) - cleared it right up.
She is my fourth Boxer and my first female - definitely smarter than the males I've had.
