Another Charlotte Hall ... 03-01-2006 11:37 AM it's law abiding dummy ~~ but you should know that
Yes I should :ADURMOMENT:
righttobeararms,
I'm not aware of that information.
Right, but I guarantee the robber would have thought twice about robbing Arby's knowing that there was a potential of people having a side arm on their hip inside munching on a sandwich.
I agree.
By not allowing people to carry, it gives the criminal an advantage. They are wondering around with total disregard to the laws of society anyway, and in all likelihood, it is for “drugs” as you stated. I think that by allowing them to continue their destructive behavior, our government is forcing us to become enablers to them. We provide them unarmed prey to get the ways and means to support their habits instead of :clickclickbang:, hope that deters others, next time somebody has that bright idea.
I think with anything there is good and bad, but sometimes you have to consider if the benefits would outweigh the cons.
Worse case scenario, we go back to the way things are now if it would be changed.

righttobeararms,
It is not a tough desicion it is a common sense decision. Every State that has reinstated the right to carry laws have had a drastic reduction in violent crime.
I'm not aware of that information.
People that are going to apply for a carry permit aren't the ones that are going to go out pistol whipping other people or robbing Arby's

I simply feel as a law abiding citizen with no felony record I should be able to carry a gun to protect myself.
I agree.
My honest opinion on the situation is. 90% (figuratively) of the criminals out there are carrying guns and would not hesitate to blow my head off in the mall parking lot for $20 or a pair of Nike tennis shoes to get thier next rock of Crack Cocaine, if I don't comply with thier orders. Why is it that the Maryland Government sees it fit that I don't have the right to defend myself from this kind of scum bag.
Now before anyone says, it's just money or it is just a car, make sure you think about the fact that, it is money that I worked for and a car that I worked for and my life that is on the line if I decide I don't want to give MY property to some scum sucking criminal and that criminal just might pop a cap in my head even if I do give him/her what I want.

Ayway the arguement could bounce back and forth all day and never go anywhere. I say reinstate the Shall Issue Right to Carry and that way if you want to apply for a permit and you meet the requirements you can carry. If you don't think it is a good idea then don't apply for the permit and don't carry your gun.= or don't even own one
It's a matter of simple choice.
