WATCH: Ramos Grills Biden For Lying About His Record, Biden Snaps

“With the deportations, most of the people that you deported, they didn’t have a criminal record,” Ramos said. “Is that wrong? Because you haven’t, many are people are expecting you to apologize for that, to say that it was wrong.”

“I think it was a big mistake, took too long to get it right,” Biden said, adding, “it took too long to get it right, but to compare, look, you had the last two administrations deport twice as many people as we deported. Twice as many.”

“But your administration deported 3 million people, more than ever,” Ramos fired back.

“No, no, no, because you had more people deported in the W administration, the Bush and the Clinton administration,” Biden falsely claimed.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Vice President, but the numbers that I have from the Department of Homeland Security, you deported more than 3 million people, 1.7 million with no criminal records,” Ramos responded.

“But there were 5 million people deported in the Bush administration, and more than that in the administration of Clinton,” Biden falsely claimed.

A simple review of the number of people who were deported under each presidential administration shows that the Obama-Biden administration did deport more people than any other administration in American history. In fact, the Obama administration deported 42,946 more people than George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush combined.

Biden eventually snapped at Ramos for continuing to bring up his record, saying, “You’ve said it 17 times, I get it already.”

“At the debate in Houston, you said that during the Obama-Biden administration, ‘We didn’t lock people in cages,’” Ramos stated. “But you actually did, not in the same numbers as in the Trump administration, but you did. We found a picture of an 8-year-old boy from Honduras. It was taken in 2014…”

Biden responded by claiming that the administration did what they did to keep the children “safe,” saying, “What happened was all the unaccompanied children were coming across the border, we tried to get them out, we kept them safe and get them out of that detention centers, essentially that center, that were run by Homeland Security and get them into communities as quickly as we can.”

“[Many] people would say they were cages. I mean –” Ramos responded before being cut off by Biden.

“Well look, you know you’re not telling the truth here about the comparison of the two things,” Biden falsely claimed.

So, when caught in a lie, accuse the other guy of lying. Just another day, another lie.

So where does one start with this??

The first thought is the right wing theory that the country was overrun with illegals and no previous President had done anything about it. Yet here is one of the hive mind proclaiming that Joe Biden is lying and that the Obama administration actually was very actively involved in moving people out of the country.

So there's that...then there's this...why in the world is is so god damn difficult for you people to research anything????

This is from dailywire...a source consistently shown to mislead (at best) in its reporting (but it's free!!!!). Follow the link that is buried in paragraph 8...which leads you to the actual govt data source: https://www.dhs.gov/immigration-statistics/yearbook/2017/table39

What is the first thing you see? (If you actually bother to look at the data, that is). You see that there are two classifications of deportations: "removals" and "returns". Those with even the most rudimentary understanding of mathematical principles will noticed immediately that the number of "returns" were significantly higher prior to 2012. In fact the number of returns were roughly 10 times higher between 1985 and 2006 than they were in 2017 (the last yr for data).

The conclusions as it relates to deportations are rather simple:

  1. The interviewer is correct in his statement that Obama had he most "removals".
  2. The interviewer is misleading as he ignored the "returns" which were much larger under previous administrations.
  3. Joe Biden is correct that W and Clinton had twice as many total deportations.
  4. Joe Biden should have been able to grasp the difference and that he was being set up....but he couldn't. That is not good.
  5. Dailywire's article was as misleading as the interviewers questions. A professional news source would have pointed out that the interviewer and the subject were using different definitions and therefore different numbers...and that both sets of numbers were correct.
BTW...here's the excel spreadsheet...since the author of the OP was too lazy to look it up (I even tallied the relevant columns to make it even easier for you to understand):

Just :poke: at you. Got anything to say about this?

I think Biden is a sack of crap and would rather lie than admit the truth because his own party has gone from "Biden would be our savior in this race" in 2016 to "Biden isn't progressive enough for us" in 2020 and he likely feels some level of shame for deporting as many people as they did during his time.
