Another Jenna 6 arrested....where is the media

Yeah right.

Apparently you've never been a crime victim. Just because *you* know who it is doesn't mean you can prove it enough for an arrest, let alone a conviction to be made. 9 times out of 10, the cops just tell you there's nothing they can do.

So, yes, I'm all for a little vigilante justice. I think if you mess with someone's car, you should get the piss knocked out of you. Sorry.

This isn't a question of if the vandal deserved it or not.

Was what he did against the law?

Why shouldn't he face charges if he broke the law?

His mother said he should walk away. Of course, what does she know? She's just his mother, not Queen Nicotina.

Hey, some Moms say that - walk away, don't get in fights, just ignore the other kids.

I'm not one of those Moms.

Sure it is. I'll bet you $10 that the other kids gets....nothing for vandalizing the car. I'll bet he doesn't so much as get a reprimand from his parents.

Because to me, THAT is the story, not some kid retaliating. If these punks would mind their business in the first place, they wouldn't get the #### knocked out of them. Who teaches their thug kid to go around doing stuff to other peoples' cars??? Apparently this kid's parents did.

So where's your outrage about that? Or is that okay? Just a prank?

...that's not the Lahrel wey.

Getting in practice, are we?

And one more thing:

Had someone posted a story that said juvenile thug vandalizes car, MMDad would have been shouting from the rooftops that this kid should have the crap knocked out of him.

So now that he's had the crap knocked out of him, what's the problem? It seems you're not averse to a little vigilante justice when it suits you.

Call the cops. He knew who did it. The vandal could be facing charges instead. As well as paying restitution.
:yeahthat: Does that school district have cameras in the parking lots? Most of the schools here do.

If so, that would bE MORE than enough evidence. All he had to do was report it.

Put words into my mouth, then ask me to justify them? Great technique, but I'm not falling for it.

Will you tell me why assault by an adult should be overlooked just because it's in a school?

Never mind. Andy agrees with me. I must be wrong.

Vigilante justice for all!

Not because it's in a school but because the other kid instigated it. However:

And both are high school students - the other kid is probably only a year younger than the Purvis kid. But because of an arbitrary law, one is a legal adult and the other is not. What difference does that make?

Why should one be prosecuted if they're 18 and having sex with a girl who is one year younger than them?

It happens.

Someone key'd my car before. I didn't :jameo: and go Britney Spears  over it. Considering it's not in the best of condition as it is and considering it still ran, I completely overlooked it. It just shows that people suck. :boo:

That's the good part about reading the story before going off on a rant. You could have found out that the "victim" was 18, and would have faced adult charges, just like the 19 YO is.

I didn't read the age of the other kid - I assumed, though, that they were within spitting distance of each other.

So, again, if the Purvis kid can't prove who vandalized the car, how would this other kid face ANY charges, adult or otherwise?

So you're 100% sure he beat up the right person, then? :jet:

My opinion may have gotten lost in all the back and forth.

1. If the vandal actually did it, he deserved to get his @ss kicked.

2. Purvis commited a crime and deserved to get charged with that crime.

3. If a judge or jury feels that the vandalism justified the assault, they can let him off. That is not a call for the police to make. They did the right thing by charging Purvis.

...no one is gonna read the damn link;

In my day, that would have got your azz stomped and then the Local boys would have come buy and given you a ticket for bleeding on their streets.

Well yes Larry, I read the "damn" link and it says Purvis and it says "Purvis assaulted a male student he apparently suspected of vandalizing his auto."

APPARENTLY SUSPECTED!

That means he's not sure if it was him or not. I suppose you go around pummling every person you suspect of doing something wrong. How much are the tickets?

The other kid flattened his tires. Doesn't say if he merely let the air out or if he spiked them.

You know Vrai... I've given it more thought. I don't think Purvis did enough by choking the kid and slamming his head into a table. I really believe this was deserving of Purvis getting out his knife (I'm sure he had one) and giving the other kid a couple of pokes in the kidneys. That'll learn him!
