I don't believe I am too engrained in the paradigm of marijuana myths. My view on the use of marijuana is through a lifetime of being around regular pot smokers. They all argue that it is benign, and quite possibly it is, health wise, however, pot stunts mental growth. I don't know a single person who smokes pot on a regular basis that does not have a skewed sense of reality and stunted motivation. There is no motivation to be more, or do better. There is also a strong tendency towards victimhood.

I honestly really don't care what people do on their free time, but the fact of the matter is, when you choose to take a job that requires that you don't partake in illegal drugs, you just don't do it. Or if you do, you can't complain about the consequences of getting caught. It's the same with someone who has a CDL license. If they get a DUI, even outside of work, then they likely will lose their CDL license. It doesn't matter if it wasn't on the job.

Anyway, I digress. I just don't think that a company is asking too much from an employee when they are required not to use illegal substances.

Im not sure who's complaining about getting caught doing anything. I havent been victimized, as far as I know anyhow. There are people who do lose motivation, I agree with you there. Ive always had a skewed sense of reality. lol

I don't know you, so I can't say one way or another. I am referring to people that I know personally.
