Kizz, thanks for the thread

I think applying a level of intellegence to these types of test, you can answer the questions to sway the results.

I would think that your coworker is one of the latter.

I typed it as the "more serious" form of Schizoid, and you are correct, correctly termed, it is Schizophrenia. She is a client of mine and actually, she is a paranoid Schizophrenic.

I agree, some people know how they "should,” answer, but the day-to-day living isn't the way they "actually" react. This is why, in my job, I make another person who knows my client well, go to screening if I suspect a problem.

My hubby and I sat here and discussed some of the questions and reasons the answer should be yes or no. :lol:

And Air, only here could a thread go from mental illness to crock pot dinners. :killingme

Certainly not, just giving you what those terms mean. I think it was how you answered the quiz and those that designed it that are the ones calling you that.

It is alot better than this;

Histrionic
People with histrionic personality disorder are constant attention seekers. They need to be the center of attention all the time, often interrupting others in order to dominate the conversation. They use grandiose language to describe everyday events and seek constant praise. They may dress provocatively or exaggerate illnesses in order to gain attention. They also tend to exaggerate friendships and relationships, believing that everyone loves them. They are often manipulative.

Moderate Obsessive-Compulsive

Obsessive-Compulsive personality disorder is similar to obsessive-compulsive anxiety disorder. People with this disorder are overly focused on orderliness and perfection. Their need to do everything "right" often interferes with their productivity. They tend to get caught up in the details and miss the bigger picture. They set unreasonably high standards for themselves and others, and tend to be very critical of others when they do not live up to these high standards. They avoid working in teams, believing others to be too careless or incompetent. They avoid making decisions because they fear making mistakes and are rarely generous with their time or money. They often have difficulty expressing emotion.

Test must be faulty cause I'm pretty good at expressing emotion. :lmao:

Maybe because you spend too much time on details that time runs out and you cannot get it all done. :shrug:

I've been attending tons and tons of seminars at work on this topic the last several months, more than in the past, but due to numerous budget cuts, in mental health, we are working with these people more closely in my job.

I was telling some forum people I was out with earlier this week, that I have a client that will cry if I tell her I'll be with her in a minute. She takes it personally that I cannot just drop what I'm doing and attend to her right there. She say things like "well your not happy to see me" and she'll get teary eyed. I have to say "of course I am, but at the moment the boss wants me to do something else, brb."

The reason for this thread was a Doctor at St. Elizabeth's Hospital told us that nearly 67% (?? somewhere around there) of the population has a mental disorder. All the hospitals have been shut down, so we are finding these people out on the streets more and more each and every day, and because the world is just fast paced, the numbers have increased everyday. We just have to hope that if they need medication to keep them from being dangerous they are taking it. Of course not all are dangerous, but knowing this information for yourself can only be a positive thing when dealing with others, and it could even reduce the number of failed relationships and headaches down the road in life.

I’ll be just grateful, to get to a point, where I don’t have to look up every fricken disorder in a book, so that I can find more effective methods on approaching my clients.

Also, I think it was admirable for those who posted their results. :yay:
