Oooooo..... I didn't think about using turnips & parsnips....is that I made a wonderful vegetable beef soup in the crock pot, with turnips, parsnips, cabbage, carrots, celery and mushrooms.
Don't forget the shells that swell up 5 times their size.
Sweaters, cords, fall skirts, socks, heavy bathrobes, open windows and extra blankets and hot beverages throughout the day.

What do turnips and parsnips taste like? I've never had either.
They taste like yum
Turnips taste like a cross between a potato and cabbage, but not starchy like potatoes, and parsnips are more carroty.
