What? Better not go there then. I don't want a sick puppy.

Many of the animals at the farmer's market are in terrible shape.
Many are there because someone is trying to make a fast buck, and they don't care about the animals at all. I've seen cardboard boxes full of baby chicks there, in full sun, with half of them dead or dieing in the boxes. It's heartbreaking. I've seen puppies that are skinny, flea infested, and lethargic.
If you buy a puppy there, you could be supporting something like that...
Although you want to save them and take them out of the situation, every one that is bought is encouraging more animals to be brought there & sold.

I can't believe that the county lets it happen, but there have been discussions about it before, and apparently nothing can be done.

Go to a rescue group, or a reputable breeder, & get a healthy puppy.

Oh my! He is beautiful. Beagles are the sweetest.

Thank you. :flowers:

OMG, you're right they are sweet. He tries to knock my 9y/o out of the way when I get home because they both want to give me a hug. Well my son moves Rufus away (off of mommy's work clothes) and Rufus allows himself to be removed then when let go of my son's hands he comes back as if to say "As I was saying...hello". :killingme

I just got a beagle puppy in August and was thinking about getting
another. I would rather have a purebred puppy so they can both grow
up together. I saw one ad in the classifieds on SOMD but that was a
little more than I wanted to pay. Anyone have any beagle puppies for
sale? Oh, I have checked all the rescue groups and shelters but haven't
found any purebred puppies.

Wharf Rat had a puppy returned.

Can't say for sure on the purebred part.
She is however, nine months old, crate/house trained, spayed and up to date on all of her shots.

Purebred beagle. . . I'm trying to decide if that's redundant or a contradiction in terms. . . :lmao: She's a cutie! You did great with the pups and were wonderful for taking in the mother! :flowers:

They look sort of like the Franklin dog that Catt posted. Looks to me that your dogs are maybe beagle and austrailian shepherd mix??

I wish we knew. Here's her sister. She looks like a beagle to us but we'll never know for sure.

That dog is very cute but is not a purebred. I'm not sure what it's
mixed with.
