Any employers around here offer DayCare?

Hello everyone. My husband and I are new to the area, and we were inquiring to see if there were any employers in the Southern MD area (preferably around La Plata/Waldorf) that offer daycare to their employees. I know there are some that do this, and we're hopeful that we can find one close to us!

If not....please give me info on any good daycares/preschools around here. I'm looking for something for my 3 year old. I want something were there's alot of interaction with the children, and she's gonna be well taken care of. Something religious would be alright, just as long as its not overkill...

THANKS everyone!!

Do a search on here for the "childcare resource center" in Charlotte Hall. They can give you the names of family daycare providers in Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert.

I have not heard of any employers offering childcare in the area.

Big employers in cities probably offer it more than smaller businesses in the suburbs. What about colleges? Maybe it is part of their child development/learning.

BAE has a child care program, I don't know much because I don't have children, but my husband works for BAE and it's in his benefits package.
hope that helps!

When I helped out in babytalk at LHS last year most the kids there were teachers kids.

I have a friend who teaches at LHS and her son is right there at the HS with her. She mentioned the same thing you did "that there quite a few teachers who have their kids with them at the school."

Neither.

They deduct a little bit out of your paycheck before taxes which you can then use to pay for child care. That's all.

I think that is wonderful. Teachers have it bad enough. :yay:
