I don't know about anyone else but there are a lot of movies that the LP theater does not play. I have to go to Waldorf. For instance, "The Gospel". I am wondering if they will show the upcoming movie "Something New"

I heard on the news tht in 2005 the movie theater attendance dropped by 7% and they're saying its due to the rise in people creating their own movie theater at home.

The LP theater is too expensive, they don't have a lot of options at the concession stand (i.e. Kiddie packs) and the tickets are far too expensive for matinee. This is not a big city.

Never heard of either of them. They tend to show movies that are actually going to make money for them.

Well in that case, I guess I will continue supporting the Waldorf theater.

I'd like to see them put up anything - ANYTHING - that could be considered cultural or entertainment or recreational.

Preferably in an existing building.

I try to avoid the LP, Waldorf, and PF theaters since they all suck.

I'd like to see a decent book store...

I can't understand why someone hasn't thought to build a splash park on one of these big empty lots of land. Even if it is owned by someone they can make an offer. I think that would bring in revenue during the summer. It doesn't have to be too big, but with a lazy pool, 5 slides, a wave pool and a kiddie part. Like Cameron's in Alexandria VA or Splash Down in Manassas, VA.

There's a water park in Chesapeake Beach that's nice. It's closer than going to VA. It's more expensive for out of county, but I go with my sister-in-law who lives in Calvert, so it works for us.

I wish we had a nice movie theater down this way too. I really like stadium seating theaters (I like Potomac Yards or Muvico at Arundel Mills), but you have to go a long way to get to one.
