There was a Drive-in in Tucson about 10 minutes from my house. De Anza theater. We saw the Spongebob Movie there, and Hitch and Revenge of the Sith.

It was so fun, and the kids LOVED it because they each got this humongous bucket of popcorn and they had a little picnic in front of the car, and I let them climb up on the hood and roof of the jeep, and I wasn't telling them to shaddap every 5 seconds.

I wish I was more of an entra-pruden-endur. I would build one myself.

You could build it where the base used to be after JPC gets it shut down.

I think it be a hit. Families could have their family night, without putting a big dent in the wallet. Great place to take a date, or a get together for groups.

Probably wouldn't install those speakers thingies that you hang on the window. Transmit the audio from a single location and tune-in on your car radio

Ultimate idea...both! The drive-in could project onto the side of the building that contains the cinema & draft house/concessions stand.

My sister in law ran the movie theatre in the Park for years, until last year when she was fired and arrested for embezzlement. Really.

Boy I miss all those free movies and concessions. Even in that rinky dink, dirty little place.
