Thats what I find so stupid! WHY have faith in something youve never accompanied with your own senses. WHY have faith in just mere stories that you were told when you were a little kid. I think religion is a good thing that gives people hope but I also believe that it is a mental disease started from birth. Your parents tell you what to believe and that is most likely what you will believe. If this is not the case the mind boggling bible and those who surround it will suck you into their cause by exploiting every single possible fact in this life to help their faith or cause.

hrm, funny... my parents told me what to believe, growing up, that I'll agree with, but then, when I came the age when I could make my own decisions, I took the dark path. I was heavy into "witchcraft" and was in it for years... I then turned my life around and found Christ and what he did for me on the cross and what he continues to do for me, daily.

WHY have faith in something youve never accompanied with your own senses?

You love your father and mother right? No senses there but you still do it... right?

i'm not trying to "preach" but I just find it hard to believe that people can call faith "stupid"

Anyone ever watch that move The Santa Claus???

Have you ever seen a million dollars? Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Not dead yet.
How about awakenings you have within your life? No offense meant, BL, but you're still pretty young and life probably has not had much of a chance to kick your azz yet. During those times when things are lowest and nothing is left to you but your faith you can find it to be a great comfort.

Then of course there are miraculous healings. Think that they never happen? Try this one: A buddy of mine ogt a really bad case of pneumonia. He was transferred to Washington Hospital Center, where the Doc says that he should have died. There was no medical chance that he could survive. He has made a full recovery.

When he recovered he found out that hundreds if not thousands of people, most of whome did not know him, were praying for his life. He was always one of those guys that couldn't believe in something unless he could see it, hear it, touch it, etc. and did not believe in God. Now he is going to church sometimes, but not what you'd call a super born again type of guy. Maybe one day he'll straighten out a little more.

I know of more examples if you like. Hope this wasn't too preachy!

Thanks for trying but I will still continue to question things until like you say I turn in that direction. But wont anyone turn to that direction or a so-called form of hope or GOD in order to overcome a certain obstical?
