Hmmm... I wonder if Desertrat can say that when he dines there...:coffee:
We haven't been there since my dad got bad soft crabs there about 15 years ago. :lmao: First time he had soft crabs ever and they tasted funny so he made DR taste them and DR spit them out. There's a story about my dad getting the waitresses phone # so he could call her in the middle of the night if he got sick that just made me giggle and I had forgotten all about it till tonight. Dad got her #.

I think when someone asks about restaurants we really do not show our best side.
They get everything from McD's to the Tides or some nice of the nicer places in Solomons. WTF

Is that Filipino carryout place down by Lexington Park elementary still there? The one in front of the trailer park? That place had some kick butt noodles. :yay:

We moved to California last year and I really don't know about about down here besides finding Target, the grocery store, and the base.

We want to go to a very nice dinner on our anniversary and the nicest place we've found so far is that Japanese place by McKay.

Are there nice romantic places down here? I mean ones within a 30 minute drive.

(I wasn't sure if this should go here or the dating forum. sorry if I'm wrong)

Nope, but if you drive about an hour you can jump the metro to about a million nice places in DC. If we want a really nice dinner then we don't waste time down here.

Brome Howard Inn, St. Mary's City (Rosecroft Rd) I have never been disappointed there.

The Woodlands, which near the senior apartments in Wildewood. That place was always nice when it used to be Tavern at the Village.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive then you can hit Olde Field Inn in Prince Frederick, they have a whoop azz spinach salad w hot bacon dressing.

Coming all the way down to Morris Point might be scary, especially after dark and you have to get out before they close the toll road. :insidejoke:

St Mary's City, a little pricey but very romantic. Checkout their website BromeHowardInn.com

That place is nasty. I have been in the kitchen there, and I would never eat food from there. Ever!

Old Field Inn in Prince Frederick is very nice. It was voted Most romantic place in Calvert several years ago. oldfieldinn.com

If The Tavern at the Village in Wildwood is still there, that's a great place for a special dinner. Great food & great service. You'll need reservations though.

It's now called "The Woodlands". Same location, new owners and name.

Clarke's Landing is my favorite. The Lighthouse Inn used to be until it burned down.

Old Fields was good too, but it's been a while since I've been there.
