Your bike fixed yet?
Hopefully soon. Insurance company was looking into lowering my deductable because the person who caused the accident fled the scene. They were supposed to call me back before 4 this afternoon. I guess I'll wait another day.

Nov 8 - Poker Run for the Fisher House - Virginia

I was thinking about doing this ride if it isn't too rainy or too cold. Fontaine can't make it - family emergency - not sure if there will be signs.

The Fisher House™ program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House™ Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

The organization hosting this Poker Run is Desert Knights of America M/C club and although I am not familiar with this exact group I am familiar with the Fisher House and believe in their mission. Here is the link to the Knights announcement (http://desert-knights....

Registration is from 10-10:45 so if we all meet a little before ten we should be ok. I will have a sign that says the "Rappahannock Riders" and will be on one of my bikes pictured in my profile. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Lets have a good turnout from the Rappahannock Riders!

We could do a Sunday morning breakfast ride to Horne's in Port Royal, Virginia - straight shot down 301, 15 miles after you cross the bridge in VA.
