Any stores have corned hams?

This really stinks because I have family coming from Pennsylvania and was hoping to give them a taste of Southern Maryland. I can't believe the stores around here.....frustrating.....
It is not the stores. Smithfield did not notify any stores/companys that they were shipping their hams overseas and would not be able to fill the orders that had been put in. All local stores/company's were blindsided.
Smithfield is one of few corporations that can makes corned hams. Buyers for Mckays have been working the phone lines trying to find another source. And by the way I am not part of the McKay family nor do I work for them, However the McKay girls were hotties and I sure lusted after them back in the 60s and 70s.

Just picked ours up from GM Mckays. They had ONE more setting in the counter thingy. I would call before going and try to reserve it.

LOL Dammit mine won't be done till 11 or so tonight.

Did mine on Sunday. It's not as zesty as I usually make, I failed to take in account the larger than average (for me) ham. Finishes with a nice build up heat, not my best effort by far but I'm sure I won't hear any complaints.

I got one done, or in the pot anyway. Won't do the other till the day after Thanksgiving. That way all my greedy azzed relatives won't be showing up with Ziplock Bags and Tupperware containers and take most of it home with them like they tried to do last year when I was dumb enough to tell them I made two.

I toned mine down a little bit as some thought it was to spicy last year. But my hands are still tingling so I am not sure if I toned it down enough yet. More for me if it is to spicy. LOL

Next year I may just go ahead and order direct through here.

Mine won't be done till about midnight tonight. It will cool all day tomorrow, and it will be nice and chilled for easy slicing on Thursday morning.

I gotta slice mine tomorrow. Thursday I will be swamped. Gotta Deer roast to prep tomorrow. Plus gotta figure out what to do with some Wild Pig.

A relative from Alaska is bringing me some fresh Halibut and Elk or Moose I forget which so Thursday I'll be cooking those two up and I think I have someone willing to roast one turkey while I deep fry the other.

So I am trying to do everything I can before Thursday.

That is very cute, since your relatives steal yours! That is what this forum is all about. Helping each other if you can get past the crap. Good for you, niki, you persevered, and found your ham, thanks to Caution. Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a shame that Smithfield is now owned by the Chinese's. Get used to less pork products b/c they're going over seas.
