Anybody get the phone c... 08-09-2007 08:46 PM nah, its just because you st. marys folk are just too retarded to do anything if a disaster is happening unless you get a special call, Calvert County people are smart enough to get the hell out!

RETARD ALERT!

Careful...he'll give you unsigned red Karma like he did to greyhound and me. Not nice to poke at the chimp's cage. They tend to s**t in their hands and sling it at you.

I go by the BULLS-EYE in the phone book as related to Calvert Cliffs. I bought my house knowing that it is in one of the "target" rings. Needless to say, any emergency, I"ll beat feet.

from the county's Public Safety auto-dial automated emergency message line tonight. Nice to know that have an auto alert system. I just don't remember anything in the paper or any notice that they would be making test calls checking out the system.

I got one.

At least they didn't play a high-pitched tone for 30 seconds.

nobody really

I need a nap
I live in Northern Calvert but work on base and subscribed - they called me. Calvert County also has a reverse 911 system - they called me (caller ID said "911 Emergency Dispatch), and a recording came on about a local amber alter. Thats good to know

Soo.. If I don't have a landline, how will I knowwwww? Also-- Does this county have early warning sirens for tornadoes/other emergencies? I have yet to hear any tests so i doubt it. I know Calvert does..

You can sign up for the call to go to your cell phone.

If by "this county" you mean St. Mary's, there are some sirens for the nuclear plant around the California area. Everything else is outside whatever distance they classify as critical.

I know we have some fire sirens, I don't know if they are to be used for tornadoes, etc.
