In reality I'll bet it was a mechanical issue with the tow tractor or brakes on the a/c. Some of those spotting dollies have a lot of age on them.

Shoulda got the brake pads from Autozone with the lifetime replacement warranty.

Don't know about the brakes on an F-18 but I know on the E-2 you had to make sure the brake accumulator was charged. I think you had like 5-7 applications before you had to pump it up or you ran out of brakes.

I’ve got a problem with this terminology, slipped means a lack of cohesion between the deck and the wheels this was accidentally shoved over the side. Saying slipped makes it sound like they are purposely downplaying it for some reason.
