What is it? I didn't know I had an Urban Legend? :ohwell:

The story goes like this:

A couple was watching the game in Candlestick Park when the earthquake hits (can't remember the year - about ten years ago). While everyone else is fleeing for their cars, they decide to wait until the crowd clears, so they won't be stuck in crushing traffic. They come out to the lot to find that their car is - GONE. So they call a cab and go home.

Later they get a knock on the door and are informed that their car was stolen - and found on the Nimitz Freeway - flattened by the earthquake - with the perps still inside.

(Thankfully, not true).

Also why does it matter on who you know??? I think what is going on here is great. I didn't start this forum. Someone else did. If they didn't want someone to respond with ideas that are not aligned with their's then they shouldn't have started the post. Am I right. Or is because it's who you know you can do what you want, because that sounds like Crone Bush Politics.....

It doesn't matter. But it is also easy to masquerade behind an alias and claim just about anything as true, because it cannot be verified or corroborated. There's also the common problem HERE of current forumites re-signing on as a new identity - a phenomenon here known as "MPD's" (on Usenet, it's called a "sock puppet").

It isn't important that you know vraiblonde, but if you ever mistake her for a fat old man, you need a new prescription.

I don't know her, that's my point. It's just another name on a website. I don't know her, so I can't judge her. That is what I was trying to say. She claims I may not have a brother. I never once claimed she didn't have a son. I don't think someone would make that up.

There's that liberal spin again...

I believe she "questioned" whether you had a brother, not "claimed" you didn't.

Are you kidding? We had a person on here that claimed to be from Lexington Park and a father of three that had never been married and was from Calvert Co. We have had MPDs claim to be female when they were male and visa versa.

Oh. We don't hate you. We dislike your politics. I want as little government as possible at all levels. Like I have said, Democratic and Republican politicians alike want big government because it equates to more power for them. It is just that the Dems seem to want government to do everything for the people and protect people from themselves. That is not government's job in a republic or even in a democracy. Socialist or communist governments do that. I am a Constitutionalist; I want the government to operate strictly within the bounds of the Constitution and for the states to do so too regarding both the U.S. Constitution and the states own constitutional document (some don't call their document a constitution).
