Anyone ever used Duraclean......

I have Duraclean Restoration Services coming out to the house this week, and I was wondering if anyone has ever used them, or another company like them...

If your not sure what Duraclean is, they are a company that comes out, and they clean all the air ducts in the house, and the hook like a vacuum up to the system and suck all the junk out of the ducts....

Has anyone had this done before? My house I bought is a 96, and I have a dog, and the renters who lived there before had a cat, and the guy who owned it had a dog and a cat..... Now recently Ive re-done all the carpet except 2 rooms...so I know there is a little extra dust and dirt in the system, but thats another reason Im getting them cleaned...

Anywayz... any thoughts, or praises or bad things to say about the company, or did you notice any difference in your house afterwards, electric bills, anything like that??

If it's still Shirley and Bob Sharrow, they used to be good friends of mine - haven't seen them in several years.

Good people, good quality work. :yay:

I hired Nomo to do this for me last summer. She charged $200 cash. I haven't figured out if it was really worth it though since her method involved covering the air vents with plastic and then putting a shop vac to one vent. She assured me the plastic over the vents created a "vaccuum" effect allowing the shop vac to suction the entire venting system, however, I still have my doubts. :eyebrow: PM nomo though... she may cut you a good deal considering you are a softball player and all.

A shop vac  these guys have a big old truck that is a big old vacuum, and they hook up 2 seperate lines and all sorta of stuff, and they have this thing they goes down in the vents to beat around and knock everything loose, then it all gets sucked out....

Oh wait I used serv-pro they were good! :lmao:

So does doing this help any with air quality, or help out lower any electric bills or anything like that....

Someone told me that they did this, and it lowered their monthly bill about 30 bucks because of how much easier the system breahted/worked due to all the junk he had in his ducts....
