Then SHE needs to find a new home :yay:

What she needs to do is go back to the doc and have the appropriate meds prescribed.

appyday is allergic to every animal on her property, but she medicates and does just fine.

She could be allergic to something as common as dust and dust mites... the bottom line is that she was doing better on allergy meds so that tells you it's something in her everyday environment triggering her allergies and she needs to the proper prescription to be able to deal with it.

Allergies have been kickin' azz this spring....everybody's. I misplaced my spray for a few days, continued taking the clariten, and some of my symptoms returned. I found it this morning and used it...I'm now back to normal. Allergies have to be treated if they're so bad you're spending a small fortume trying to clean the air in your home.

Now the claritin, dont do a thing for her... but it works well for my mom and sister... which is weird...but she tried that stuff and it never worked...

So, we'll get it figured out....

As for spending the money to have the ducts cleaned... hopefully its worth it :yay:

We used Servpro, also. You won't believe the stuff they pull out. I'm missing a dresser and an upright piano.

If it's still Shirley and Bob Sharrow, they used to be good friends of mine - haven't seen them in several years.

Good people, good quality work. :yay:
Known Bob Sharrow for years. The company does excellent work, but I think they sold the business and retired to Fla. a few years ago.

Servpro did mine. They were gross inside. I don't think airflow was restricted, but it bothered me. Didn't help with allergies or bills, but I felt better knowing all that crap was out of there.

I have Duraclean Restoration Services coming out to the house this week, and I was wondering if anyone has ever used them, or another company like them...

If your not sure what Duraclean is, they are a company that comes out, and they clean all the air ducts in the house, and the hook like a vacuum up to the system and suck all the junk out of the ducts....

Has anyone had this done before? My house I bought is a 96, and I have a dog, and the renters who lived there before had a cat, and the guy who owned it had a dog and a cat..... Now recently Ive re-done all the carpet except 2 rooms...so I know there is a little extra dust and dirt in the system, but thats another reason Im getting them cleaned...

Anywayz... any thoughts, or praises or bad things to say about the company, or did you notice any difference in your house afterwards, electric bills, anything like that??

We used them on our old house. What a difference it made! You'll be very pleased with the results.

I hired Nomo to do this for me last summer. She charged $200 cash. I haven't figured out if it was really worth it though since her method involved covering the air vents with plastic and then putting a shop vac to one vent. She assured me the plastic over the vents created a "vaccuum" effect allowing the shop vac to suction the entire venting system, however, I still have my doubts. :eyebrow: PM nomo though... she may cut you a good deal considering you are a softball player and all.
Ma'am I think you got rooked. It's a dern shame people rip other folks off like that.

I did the duct cleanin for our trailer and it waeren’t too hard. First off you will need a medium size rabbit, a string, a chimney brush and a couple friends.

First take off all the vent covers. Tie the string to the rabbit and the other end to the brush. Take and put your friends in different rooms of the trailer. Stick the rabbit in the vent and yell GO RABBIT! When he pops out in another room, they just pull the string and draw that brush right on through. Then send the rabbit right back through.

Once you are done there might be a little dust left so I took one duct loose under each end of the trailer and I covered all the vents inside with trash bags so they was air tight and I blew air through from a small jet engine I got as scrap from Andrews AFB but I suppose a leaf blower would work too. Cleaned it right out. Oh, don’t forget the rabbit in there before you close everthing up.
