Everyone the Shah's didn't have.

I am so glad I read a few more posts... :howdy:
Just about to say that.

Haven't read the entire thread but I know several doctors who have just left their practice because of Maryland laws (taxes and insurance - both health and malpractice).

I just reached my Dr.s office. I don't know if all of the Dr. that left C & W Heart are at the same, place I didn't ask. The practice is called Med Star Cardiac. The phone number is 240-434-4070

Just called the old and new. The nwe wants a copy of all records. The old wants $0.76 a page. My wife and I both have books there. We are going to see if we really need all of them sent since Dr. Bartosyzk knows us well.

Wanted to find out if C&W would still mail out postcard notices of apointment requirements.

suprise suprise, they charge the maximum amount permitted by law.

You probably dont need the whole book. Get copies of the last 3 visits, the last EKG, echocardiogram, nuclear stress test and the cath report.

Also, have the office release the records directly to YOU. If the records are released to the medstar office, the releasing office can charge you another $22.78 for preparation plus whatever they pay for postage (which they may chose to send by next-day first fedex).

It figures that medstar bought out 1/2 of the C&W docs. They are moving to have more and more captive physicians, particularly in key specialties like cardiology.
