My biggest complaint about front-loaders is you can't put wet towels or clothes in just to spin like you can with a top-loader. That and you can't open it after it starts washing.
I love my front loaders! You do have to worry about mildew smells with front load washers, but after every wash I leave the door open to air out/dry. It doesn't leak, and that's an oooooold tale from the very first front loaders....
