Anyone using Ace Hauling for trash pickup?

I'm irritated with my current trash company right now. I've been thinking of switching over to Ace Hauling for a while, $75 a quarter is pretty cheap. I used them once before for a bulk pickup and was pleased with them. But I'd like to know if they're reliable for weekly residential pickup/recycling. I plan to call them this afternoon but would like some reviews, good or bad, first.

Thanks so much!

We are up in Owings and have been using them for over a year now. They have been very reliable. Even came on our regular day this past Tuesday, despite all of the snow. I love the fact that we can put our recycling out with them & don't have to make a special trip to the compactor site just for that. You do have to bag your recyclables, but we don't find that to be a big deal. In fact, we are recycling more now because it's so easy.

Great, thanks! I left a message for them so I hope to hear back from them Monday. I'm happy they care about recycling, it seems like many trash companies around here don't. Up in NY, we got trash pickup twice a week as well as recycling pickup once a week, all included in the taxes. Miss that!

Do they give you trash cans and how many cans can you put out? Our current company allows 3 cans and we use our own cans. Many times, we've also put out boxes and never had an issue with that. Thanks for the info.

Our paperwork says 4 32-gallon containers (you supply) & to just call if you will have more than that. We have never had more, so it hasn't been an issue. They like you to mark the one you will use for recycling, so we just wrote "Recycle" on one of ours with a permanent marker. We also will put out cardboard boxes or paper grocery bags stuffed with our newspapers & they take it, no problem.

I am Owingsalso and have been using Southern Maryland Recycling. They are just ok - nothing to write home about.

Thank you. I can't believe how many trash companies there are around here!

That sounds like what we're looking for. We go through many cans and jars/glass bottles and I hate not recycling. Plus I need to get rid of stacks of magazines that I haven't gotten around to bringing to the dump yet. Thanks again!

Been using them for over a year and have nothing but great things to say about them. They're more reliable about coming than I am about putting the trash out at the end of the driveway!

If we had a pickup, we would. But I'm not putting trash in the back of the Explorer. We have an 11 month old. Do you know how many diapers an 11 month old goes through? :barf:
