I'm surprised you're not outside the operating room pacing like an expectant daddy.

Pete how is he doing??
I dunno, I don't want to annoy people outside the board so I didn't call. the doc did call because I told them about his leg popping out of joint sometimes.

She said he either has an injury or a genetic defect that allows his knee cap to pop out side to side. It may get better with time or it wont and it may need surgery. Since it does not bother him at all and it only happens rarely and he just shakes it back in place I am going to wait. I don't have a couple grand to drop on a cat that is not in pain or hobbled in anyway.

It sounds like he has acclimated to the knee problem.

When did they say they'd be doing the surgery? If it was early this morning, I don't think you'd be annoying them to call.

I don't recall ever seeing it before a few weeks ago. If he turns a certain way it pops out and looks kinda funky, then he shakes his leg and it pops right back and he runs off after a toy.

It happened a few times right after I noticed it, then lately I have only noticed it once. I bet the retard hurt himself during his "climbing trees" period.

The doc said his tendons are all intact, it might be a curved bone or a shallow groove neither of which are painful or debilitating.

It's such a routine operation for them, they don't even think about calling the "parents" because the parents are usually so worried about the kids, they call first. My Trixie kitty made out just fine. Good to know about the knee tho. I'll keep a lookout for problems with mine. She goes 100 mph all the time, so I don't think she's got any problems.

Timmy does too, thats why I am not worried about it very much. On the rare occasion it did pop out, he just shook it like he had water on his paw and zoomed off 100mph.

Maybe it's their age, but she is like that all the time. She won't come in until she is good and ready. I have been leaving the screen open and whenever she feels like calling it a nite, in she comes. She has yet to run off the property, so that's good. She spent last nite in the closet because Bigfoot thought she was with me and I thought she was with him. She came out this morning and ran straight to the litterbox. Catt did well, didn't she.

What a good girl! Has she gotten up the nerve to ambush the Poms?

Timmy is pretty good about staying close too. He comes in when I call him fairly well. Chopper the Wondercat looks after him too.

:diva: I'm just so thankful they both got good homes. When I saw Timmy the other day, I was amazed. He is just beautiful. He was such a sickly, scrawny 9 ounce sack of bones when I got him.

We had a kitten once that the Animal Shelter told us was a female. When "she" was old enough we took her to be neutered. I got a call from the vet telling me they had opened "her" up to neuter her and, turns out she was a he. They went ahead and neutered him. The vet was very, very embarassed.
