Does anyone have any good April Fools Day pranks to play on a good-natured family?

It seems that they always get me, so I'm going to try to be one step ahead of them this time.

Thanks in advance.

But shouldn't she do this March 30th, feeding it to them on the 31st so that the joke arrives timely by the 1st of April...

The Legends of April Fools’ Day"
Perhaps the most widely accepted theory of the origin of April Fools’ Day goes back to a time when the western world employed the Julian calendar. At that time, new years began on March 25 and festivals marking the start of the New Year were celebrated on the first day of April because March 25 fell during a Holy Week. However, after the adoption of the Gregorian calendar in the 1500s, the New Year moved to January 1. The "April fools" were those who could be tricked into believing April 1 was still the proper day to celebrate the New Year. The key prank during this time was for French peasants to unexpectedly drop in on neighbors on that day in an effort to confuse them into thinking they were receiving a New Year's call. And out of that one lark supposedly grew the tradition of testing the patience of family and friends.

However, there are some who question this theory and will often claim that perhaps the timing of this day of pranks could be related to the arrival of spring, when nature "fools" mankind with fickle weather. Another more biblical theory that April Fools' Day "is thought to commemorate the fruitless mission of the rook (the European crow), who was sent out in search of land from Noah's flood-encircled ark." While others theorize it may have something to do with the Vernal Equinox or perhaps tie in with the Romans' end-of-winter celebration, Hilaria, and the end of the Celtic New Year festival.

Have a happy April Fools’ Day!

The Jell-O gelatin in the toilet prank is perhaps one of the oldest of the old school practical jokes, probably coming in just after short sheeting someone’s bed, but earns a lot more points on the gross factor because of the results.

I’ve found over the years that this practical joke is best done at parties, especially those held at a frat house, where there is a greater chance for the prankster and his fraternity brothers can really take in the post execution spectacle that is this joke.

To pull this prank, simply dump a packet of gelatin (Jell-O is a brand name, but you can use any brand you can find) into the recipients’ toilet and wait. It’s best if you do this nice and early in the evening so that the stuff has time to harden up before the first victim arrives, otherwise, the first flush after the delivery just sends the joke to the sewers.

When the victim does arrive on the scene, since the toilet water will seem harmless (especially if you use plain or lemon, stay away from cherry or strawberry or it will look like a massacre), they will go about their business. However, this time, thanks to you, they will turn around to flush and find that their little package will be sitting atop Bill Cosby’s favorite dessert, staring back at them in defiance.

Once your victim runs out to bring everyone in to look at the suspended turd and the horror of the event passes, clean up is fairly easy. Simply break up the gelatin with a plunger and the Jell-O and its prison will simply flush away. In all my years of pulling this practical joke, I have never seen it muck up the plumbing or anything like that, so if your host flips out, let them know it will be fine post flush.

Good Pranking!

We did this in college~~~~~

Take plastic wrap, lift the toliet seat and place the wrap over the bowl. Put toliet seat down and when someone sits down to go, there will be a surprise when it goes all over them

Also, white paste shoe polish on the toliet seat itself

I had the Mr. Lyon done to me the first year I was working here. Little message form with his name and the number for the National Zoo.

Greasing a telephone earpiece and calling your victim is always a classic.

Make a huge sign out of a sheet or something that says they won some contest. Congratulate them! Like National Round Dancing Champions or something and put it out in front of their house for the world to see:yay:

go in and change the screen saver to come on after 2 seconds of idle.
It's even more annoying if the screen saver requires a password to get back in.
